The cell cycle is a cycle of stages that cells pass through to allow them to divide and produce new cells. The longest part of the cell cycle is called interphase the phase of growth and DNA replication between mitotic cell divisions.
Mitosis:- It is a type of cell division in which a cell divides without halving the number of chromosomes.It is mainly seen in somatic cells.Usually 2 cells are produced by one division.
Amitosis:- It is a type of simple cell division involving division of nucleus and cytoplasm without involving division of dna and formation of spindle fibres .
