The central of poem fire & ice is :-

ice = desire

fire = hatred

Way too much of both can destroy the world...both are enough to destroy the world..either hate or desire..

Answer:"Fire and Ice" is a symbolic poem.fire and ice are not to be taken literally.Here,fire stands for excessive passion of anger,greed,avarice whereas ice symbiosis excess hate,indifference etc.The main idea is that we humans have power to destroy the world and if world is destroyed then we all will die within a second.we should control these excess of passions.
