Hey!!

'Snake' , the poem written by DH Lawrence is all about the scene when the boy was in dilemma whether he should kill the snake or not.

His moral values were telling him not to kill the snake because it was not harming him. But the knowledge which he acquired from people around him was telling that snakes are harmful specially which one he saw and whenever you see you should kill those snakes.

Thankyou!!

Answer:

D.H.Lawrence and his poem Snake explores the relationship between humans and one of the most feared reptiles on earth - a venomous snake. The meeting of human and snake is very much a personal event, Lawrence himself taking lead role. He is the person at the water-trough when the viper appears.

The poem talks about the peaceful coexistence between man and the other creatures in the world. It also talks about man’s sins and the guilt which he has when he fails to perform his duty of respecting these other creatures which are God’s creations.
