for adiabatic process,

change in internal energy = nC_v\Delta T

where n is number of moles of gas, C_v is molar heat capacity at constant volume and ∆T is change in temperature .

given, n = 1, ∆T = 200°C or, 200K [change in temperature in Celsius is same as Kelvin ]

for monoatomic gas, Cv = 3R/2 , where R is universal gas constant.i.e., R = 25/3 J/mol.K

now, change in internal energy = 1 × 3/2 × 25/3 × 200 J

= 2500 J

= 2.50 kJ
