The release of H+ ions by hydrolysis makes the solution distinctly acidic. Copper sulphate hydrolyse in water to give cupric hydroxide which is weak base and sulphuric acid which is strong acid. So hydrogen ion is more than hydroxyl ion in water.As a result the solution is acidic.
