Answer:
The frog was a manipulative and mean creature indeed. He felt his career as singer threatened at the arrival of the nightingale; so he hatched a shrewd plan to regain his lost status. Fortunately, the nightingale turned out to be a foolish creature in spite of being a talented singer. She easily fell prey to the frog's cunning schemes. Finally he succeeded and became as the king of the tree.
The nightingale was an inexperienced, naive, and gullible creature. Though she had immense singing talent, yet she fell prey to the frog's shrewd schemes. She had low self-image which proved to be her Achilles heel. The frog came to know about her weakness on his first meeting with her; he decided to exploit her and succeeded in his nefarious plans. If the nightingale had high self-image, she would never have thought of relying so much on the cunning frog. She could have seen the frog’s hypocrisy and shrewdness. Her low self-image became the cause of her downfall, misery, and death.
