mr cuss was general practitioner in Iping and was very curious about Invisible Man. the bandages of The Invisible Man excited his professional interest he was also jealous of him when he got to know that he possessed One Thousand and One bottles of different size and colour.
so he plans to arrange an interview with a stranger just to gain more information about him.however he was scared out of his wits when Griffin shows him his empty sleep at first he behaves boldly but runs away when Griffin tweaks his nose with his invisible hand. he thinks that he had probably gone mad or insane.
later on in the novel we see his investigative nature also he tried to investigate griffin's Books with the help of Mr bunting.
