Normally water is a compound of hydrogen and oxygen.
Hydrogen has three isotopes viz. Hydrogen, Deuterium and tritium.
Tritium is too unstable to react with oxygen.
But when deuterium reacts with oxygen, a compound of D2O is formed which is known as Heavy Water.
