Dry ice is an solid carbon dioxide (CO2) the common name is solid carbon dioxide. It is cooled and presurized to form liquid carbon dioxide. It is much cooler because it freezes at temperature-79°C. When we heat it is does not melt and form liquid it directly changes into gaseous state this process is called as sublimation and Dry ice is example of sublimation.
