The bacterial chromosome is one long, single molecule of double stranded, helical, supercoiled DNA . In most bacteria, the two ends of the double-stranded DNA covalently bond together to form both a physical and genetic circle .

The chemical nature of the circular single chromosome of a bacterium. Most bacteria's chromosome is represented as Cicular DNA. Usually it is a single circle. Though extra circles are found sometimes, which are called Plasmids.

The Singular DNA is generally is located in the region of bacterial cytoplasm. During DNA replication, each strand of the DNA gets attached to the Proteins. They bind to the origin of replication of these DNA, and perform either pull or push the chromosomes apart.
