What is the chromosome number of the sexually reproducing parent and their offspring is same justify?

hey frnd.....
the chromosome are same in number in the parents and child because both parents (mother and father) contribute equal number of chromosomes and then the offspring get half half chromosomes from each parent and can have 46 chromosomes... 23 from mother n 23 from father.
