  • Temperature: It requires a temperature that's between 21°C to 27°C for proper growth.

  • Soil requirements: Old Alluvial soil. Old Alluvial soil, or Bhangar soils are known for having a coarse texture and clayey-ness, and it's not that fertile.

  • Rainfall: 60 - 110 cm of rainfall annually.
