Given : x⁴ + 3x²-1

To Find : coefficient form of polynomial x⁴ + 3x²-1

Solution:

coefficient form is  (aₙ ,  aₙ₋₁ , ...................., a₁ , a₀)  for

aₙxⁿ + aₙ₋₁xⁿ⁻¹ +....................+ a₁x + a₀

x⁴ + 3x²-1

hence n = 4

=> a₄x⁴ + a₃x³ +.a₂x² + a₁x  + a₀

comparing with  x⁴ + 3x²-1

a₄ =  1

a₃ = 0

a₂ = 3

a₁ = 0

a₀ = -1

1.x⁴ + 0.x³ +.3.x² + 0.x  + (-1)

1.x⁴ + 0.x³ +.3.x² + 0.x  -1

form of  x⁴ + 3x²-1  is

1.x⁴ + 0.x³ +.3.x² + 0.x  -1

The coefficient form of the x⁴ + 3x²-1 is (1, 0,  3, 0, -1 )
