coefficient is the numerical in front of a variable.
Ex:2x square
     the coefficient of x square in 2.
     2x cube + 7 x square + 6x
the coefficient of x cube is 2 , coefficient of x square is 7 and coefficient of x is 6 from the above expression

Coefficient is the constant value with a variable in an expression....... For eg.====>> x^2 --- 1 is the coefficient, 5x --- 5 is the coefficient etc... Or in a polynomial ====>> 2x^3+4x^2...... Here the coefficients are 2 of 2x^3 and 4 of 4x^2.
