NERVE CELL BODIES ARE MOSTLY TRANSPARENT, CONTAINING A RELATIVELY CLEAR JELLY-LIKE CYTOPLASM. MYELIN AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF AXONS IS A SHINY WHITE COLOUR AS IT REFLECTS LIGHT.
