what is the color of phenolphthalein in a acidic and basic medium ?

Phenolphthalein is an weak acid which reacts only with strong bases and changes colour.

Phenolphthalein is originally colourless. Since, it doesn't react with acid, it is colourless in acid. And as it reacts with strong bases, like NaOH, KOH etc, it becomes pink.

in acidic it is colorless
in basic it is pink in color
