The sun's light contains all the colors of the rainbow (red orange yellow green blue indigo) but the color that is reflected most to your eye is the green. The part of an atom or molecule that "reflects" the light is the electrons on the outside of the atom.

Ishaan321: and what is the colour of proton and neutron
shubham610: wait a min
shubham610: protons and neutrons do not have a 'color' as we normally understand the term. Something has a color when light strikes it and it absorbs all but one wavelenth (say, blue) and thus the object is perceived as being blue. (This is a simplified explanation but in essence that's it.)
Ishaan321: hmm good
