Colour of ferrous sulphate is pale green after burning it changes to dark brown

the colour of the ferrous sulphate is green .......after heating the ferrous sulphate it will decomposed and form ferric oxide which is brown in colour...and two gases released which is Sulphur dioxide and sulphur trioxide ....
