The colour of FeSo4.7H20 is pale green

7H20 represents the number of water molecules in it.

while heating it loses water molecule so the colour changes.

2FeSo4 - Fe2O3 + So2 + SO3

colour : pale green.

7H2O represents the water of crystallisation

on heating pale green changes to reddish brown

2FeSO4 --------> Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3
