what is the colour of forest soils?

RAHULKUMAR161: Red, yellow, or brown tints to soil indicate the presence of iron oxide. Soils that appear white have more carbonates, such as salts. Progressions of decomposing organic matter make soil dark brown or evenblack, a purple or purplish black soil color has probably been affected by manganese oxides.

Answer:

The colour of the soil varies from forest to forest. In some areas, the colour of the soil is light grey (dry), whereas in some areas it is darker and wet. Deciduous forests are the forests which have trees in extremely close proximity with each other. These forests typically have dark brown colored soil and is wet.  In some regions in Australia, the colour of the soil is red.
