iron sulphate is initially light green in colour, when heated it undergoes decomposition and the colour changes to white

Iron sulphate has a light green colour.
When it is heated it's water of crystallisation is removed and it becomes white or colourless.
However when it is heated for long it undergoes decomposition reaction and it becomes brownish in colour.
