Power is Watts where 1 watt = 1 Joule/sec 

you dont pay for power you pay for (and consume) energy: 

1 KWh = 1000W over 1 hr = 1000 *3600 J = 3.6MJ of energy. 

If its gas or oil I expect you are talking about BTU (British thermal Units) 
1 BTU = energy required to raise 1lb of water by 1 degF = 1055 J approx. 
MMBtu is 1 million Btu's 
1 Therm (EC) = 100 000 Btu ~ 29.31 KWh
