❂COMPONENTS OF SOIL : the soil is mainly composed of (i). minerals (45%) (ii) organic Matter (5%) (iii) water (25%) (iv) air (25%).

➊.MINERALS : the small Rock particles of different sizes contain mineral matter. the mineral content found in the soil depends on the type of Rock from which the soil is formed.

➋.ORGANIC MATTER : organic matter in the soil is present in the form of humus which consist of decayed Living Organism.humus play a major role in deciding the structure of soil.

➌.WATER : water is present as a thin film around the soil particles. it also consists of dissolved minerals and nutrients.

➍.AIR : air is is present in the spaces between the particles of soil. it is essential for the respiration of plant roots and organism present in the soil

➎.LIVING ORGANISM : many living organism are present in the soil like earthworms, snails,insects and other microorganisms (bacteria, fungi).
