Protoplasm is composed of proteins, fats, nucleic acids, and some other types of  molecules suspended in water.

Von Mohl used the term to describe what he called a slimy, grainy substance that was found in plant cells. Protoplasm which makes up the fluid portion of the cell consists of the cell's cytoplasm and its nucleus. It is mainly composed of nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, inorganic salts, water and carbohydrates.

Hello friend!
Here's ur answer!
Protoplasm is the living substance in an organism. It is contained in cells and has been described as a translucent fluid somewhat colourless, greyish or brownish. The chemical composition of protoplasm is very complex. It varies from one organism to another although the common elements included in the composition of protoplasm such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur, iron and phosphorus are the same in all cells. These elements are in the form of water, proteins, carbohydrates, fats and mineral salts. It is also true that it is impossible to make an accurate analysis of protoplasm because it ceases to be protoplasm as soon as it is removed from an organism.
