The earth’s Atmosphere is a layer of gases which surrounds it, held in place by earth’s gravity.

The layers which make up the Atmosphere are as follows:

o    Troposphere    0 - 12 KM

o    Stratosphere    12 - 50 KM

o    Mesosphere    50 - 80 KMS

o    Thermosphere 80 – 700 KM

o    Exosphere       700 – 10000 KM

The atmosphere helps to sustain life on our planet.
