CuSO4 mass is 159.609 gm/mol

for ionic salts we take the amount of charge present on an ion (cation or anion) to be the n factor, we have equivalent mass of CuSO4 as 159.609/2 = 79.804 gm/mol.

This means that 79.804 gram of CuSO4 is equivalent in reactivity to 35.5 gm Cl, 8 gm O, 1 gm H etc.
