Formula:  \frac{x}{y} × 100

(ii) Volume percent

The volume of the solute in millilitres present in 100 milliliters of the solution is defined as volume percent.

Formula:  \frac{x}{y} × 100

(x = Volume of solute, y = Volume of solute + Volume of solvent)
