What is the concentration of sugar (C12H22O11) in mol L–1 if its 20 g are dissolved in enough water to make a final volume up to 2 L?​

Molar mass of the sugar , C12H22O11

molecular mass of sugar = 12 × atomic mass of C + 22 × atomic mass of H + 11 × atomic mass of O

= 12 × 12 + 22 × 1 + 11 × 16

= 144 + 22 + 176

= 342 g/mol

given weight { w } = 20g

Volume { V } = 2L

now, molarity = given weight/molecular weight × volume of solution in L

= 20/342 × 2

= 10/342 mol/L

= 0.0292 M

hence, concentration of sugar is 0.0292 M
