Titration is an analytical chemistry technique used to find an unknown concentration of an analyte (the titrand) by reacting it with a known volume and concentration of a standard solution (called the titrant). Titrations are typically used for acid-base reactions and redox reactions. Here's an example problem determining the concentration of an analyte in an acid-base reaction

Titration is known as titrimetry.It is a common laboratory method of quantitative chemical analysis.By this method we can determine the concentration of an identified analyte. As volume measurements is an important parameter in titration, it is also known as volumetric analysis.

In this method the formula used is,

V1S1=V2S2

An acid of known strength is taken and titrated with unknown base. By usibg this above formula we can easily determine the strength of base fron the burette value.
