we learned that solids are hard, such as ice in the experiment and it has its on shape which is why the ice cube stays the shape it was frozen in unless it begins to melt. A liquid such as the water, and also the tea takes the shape of the glass. Lastly, a gas which was represented in the experiment as the steam. The particles flow freely and do not have shape. From now on you will be able to identify solids, liquids and gasses in real life. We also have learned how to associate water in different states by temperature. When water is in it's normal state it is a liquid, when it gets very cold it is a solid and when it gets super hot it becomes a gas. Don't burn yourself!!
