the condition of hearing reverberation is-
1)the reflector should be at a distance less than 17 m
2)the size of the reflector should be more than the wavelength of the sound produced.
at such a distance the original sound gets mixed up with the reflected sound and due to repeated reflection at the reflecting surface the sound get prolonged. This is called reverberation.
e.g. the sound which we hear in large empty rooms after the original sound .
