1. Along with pollution ground waters are decreasing in their percentage due to over digging of bore Wells and over consumption of water by human beings.
3. Heavy metal pollution is another source that is really bothering humans at present in which arsenic is the most dreadful type of pollution.
4. There are long term effects on short term effects of arsenic pollution in water.
5. Short term exposure of arsenic pollution causes loose diarrhoea along with abdominal pain and vomitings and encephalopathy.
6. Long term exposure causes damage to scheme like thickening of skin and appearance of spots on skin and cancer heart diseases hand numbness.
Groundwater in India:
Groundwater has been one of the greatest water sources in India and constitutes 63% of the water used during agriculture and more than 80% of the water supply in low and high income areas. Moreover, by increasing 'minimum-support-prices' (SMP), the government allows farmers to make aquatic crops such as rice and sugar cane.
