What is the consequence of media 'setting the agenda' by reporting on celebrity weddings rather than slum demolitions ?

The consequence of reporting trivial and superficial matters by the media is that, the public’s attention is diverted to such matters and issues of concern or which effects the stability and security of the country, are overlooked.

The media has a moral responsibility to report impartially and equitably. But sadly, this is not the case these days. Media is only on the lookout for ‘sensational’ news or making news ‘sensational’. There is no proper follow up or closure of news, these days.

media has lot of impact on the society.Media is the means to spread valuable information to the public and get back the public reactions.

But now a days media is more into entertainment industry than the actual news.

They are busy covering and writing about celebrity weddings than the demolishing of slums which has been a burning topic in discussion and must be resolved for a healthy living.
