Contact force:-

A ball cannot move unless you make it move. In the situation when the force is exerted on objects which are closer to each other the force applied is called Contact force.

Contact force is a force that is applied by objects in contact with each other.

The contact force acts on a point of direct contact between the two objects. This force can either be continuous as a continuous force or can be momentary in the form of an impulse. Contact force is governed by Newton’s Laws.

Answer:

A contact force is any force that requires contact to occur. Contact forces are ubiquitous and are responsible for most visible interactions between macroscopic collections of matter. Pushing a car up a hill or kicking a ball across a room are some of the everyday examples where contact forces are at work.

I hope this is helpful for you.
