The second guru of the Sikhs was Guru Angad. He popularized and simplified the Gurmukhi language the Punjabis speak.
He wrote many verses and those were added to the Guru Granth Sahin, the holy book of the Sikhs.
He started the concept of community meal or the langar and founded many schools and religious organizations run by the Sikhs.
