•Louis xvi finally accepted the national assembly in July 1798 and In 4th August 1789 the assembly passed a decree of abolishing the feudal system of obligation and taxes.

•Only men above 25 years who paid taxes equal to atleast 3 days of a labours wage were given the status of active citizens and right to vote.
•On 4 August 1789 the National Assembly passed a rules to abolished the feudal law and taxes.
•Members of clergy too were forced to give up their privileges.
•Tithes were abolished and lands owned by the church.
