Mediveial Period has a significant role in the Indian history as this period was the starting of Muslim rule in India.

And also for their rulers like:-

Raziya - First muslim woman ruler.

Muhammad bin tughlaq - Wise fool king.

And why not Muhammed Ghori as the founder of muslim rule in India.
