coriolis effects means having zero effect near the equator and maximum effect near the poles.
this is caused due to rotation of the earth
this force is responsible for deflecting wind towards northern hemisphere and towards left in southern hemisphere

coriolis force on world climate
under the effect of coriolis force, the trade winds moving from sub tropical high pressure belts to equatorial low pressure belts becomes north east trade winds int the northern hemisphere and south east trade winds in southern hemisphere. as a result ,they bring heavy rainfall to east coasts while the west remains dry.
