1 ampere is coulomb of charge going past a given point per second in general charge Q is determined by Steady Current I following for a time t s q is equal to it the s i unit of charge is coulomb is the quantity of electricity carried in one second by a current of 1 ampere

When the potential difference between the conductor is 1volt and it's resistance is 1 ohm, then the current flowing through the conductor is known as 1ampere current..
