What is the cost of flooring a room 5.5 metre long and 3 metre broad by square tiles of age 50 cm at rupees 30 per tiles

Answer:

total area of the floor =l×b

=5.5×3

=16.5 m²

side of square tile in meters=50/100

=0.5 m

total area of a tile= 0.5×0.5

=0.25 m²

total no.of tiles required = area of floor/area of a tile

=16.5/0.25

=66 tiles

cost of flooring=cost of one tile × total no.of tiles required

=30×66

= rs.1980
