The critical thing about the the story 'A letter to God'
is the irony of the situation. The postmaster and his staff helped Lencho by giving those 70 peseos they tried to gather 100 peseos but were not able to do so .
On the other hand Lencho developed the misunderstanding that God gave him total 100 peseos but the post office staff decived him and took his remaining 30 peseos.
Lencho was an ungrateful person
