*national food for work programme- gave employment to people who r in need of wage
*Prime Minister rozgar yozana -created self employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth in rural areas
*Rural employment generation programme - created self employment opportunities.
*swarnajayanti gram swarozgar yojana- aims at bringing poor families above poverty line.
*Pradhan mantri gramodaya yozana- gave services like health , shelter, water, electricity in rural areas.

India is the second most populated country in the world. But 22% of this humongous population is extremely according to the latest population calculations.

To prevent this poverty our government has taken several steps,such as;

1) our government has initiated different projects for the financial establishment of these poor people (eg. Jan Dhan Yojna)

2) our government is offering special quota of jobs for these poor people financially establish them.

3) all government is also offering loans at a very low interest for these poor people.
