The major anti-poverty measures taken by the government in the recent times are as follows:
1) NREGA or National Rural Employment Guarantee Act which provides employment to all the rural people for 100 days which prevents poverty as well as contributes to the GDP of the nation.
2) NFWP or National Food for Work Programme which provides food for the poor people who are not given jobs in the NREGA. Those people are only applicable to this Act. It reduces poverty to a large extent if implemented properly. It is already implemented in 600 backward districts of India
3) Other measures include Green Revolution, Employment generation programs, etc. for the nation's GDP as well as reducing poverty. Land expansion is also done by both the state and the central government.
Hope this helps!!
