Answer:

First Resistance (R1) = 4 ohm

Second resistance (R2) = 2 ohm

Potential Difference (V) = 6 V

To Find :

Current flowing in circuit

Solution :

We are given that there are two resistances of 4 ohm and 2 ohm, they are connected in series to a 6 Volt battery.

So, The equivalent resistance in circuit is :

⇒Rs = R1 + R2 + ........ + Rn

⇒Rs = R1 + R2

⇒Rs = 4 + 2

➠Rs = 6

Equivalent resistance is 6 ohms

For calculating current in circuit, Use Ohm's Law :

⇒V = IR

⇒V = I * Rs

⇒I = Rs/V

⇒I = 6/6

⇒I = 1

➠ Current flowing in circuit is 1 Ampere
