✵ Here, the question has given us the the height (length) and radius of a cylinder that are 5 m and 2 respectively. Now, the question has asked us to find the curved surface area of the cylinder. So, to find the curved surface area of the cylinder we simply need to apply the formula of curved surface area of cylinder and we will easily get our answer.

ANSWER:-

↦ Curved surface of the cylinder is 62.85 m.

GIVEN:-

↬ Height of the cylinder = 5 m

↬ Radius of the cylinder = 2 m

TO FIND:-

➞ Curved surface area of the cylinder = ?

FORMULA:-

↣ Curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh

Where,

  • π = 22/7
  • r = radius
  • h = height

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

↬ Height of the cylinder = 5 m

↬ Radius of the cylinder = 2 m

↣ Curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh

  • Finding the curved surface area:-

➲ CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 2 × 5 m

➲ CSA = 2 × 22 × 2 × 5 m / 7

➲ CSA = 44 × 10 m / 7

➲ CSA = 440 / 7

➲ CSA = 440 m / 7 = 62.85

➲ CSA = 62.85 m

Hence, we got our answer. The curved surface of the cylinder is 62.85 m.
