There are four types of English sentence classified by theor purpose they are

declarative sentence(statement)

Interrogative sentence (question)

Imperative sentence(command)

Exclamatory sentence(❗)

Declarative sentence: It is just a simply statements that give information.It is used to tell something.It states a fact or an opinion and let's the reader to know something.

Example:I Love My Cat,My new car is white

Interrogative Sentence : It is one that asks a direct questions and always end with a question mark.Interrogative sentence is another name of a question

Example:Where do you live?

Imperative sentences: It is type of sentence that gives advice, instructions,expresses a command , order, direction, request. Imperative sentence may end with exclamation mark or period. It is also known as jussive or a directive.It is just simply yes or no question.

Example:Shall we go out?

Exclamatory sentence: Sentence containing emotion or surprise. An exclamatory mark is placed at the end of the sentence

Example: How beautiful the city is!
