Hybridisation means interbreeding between two unrelated species to create a hybrid which may be created for a commercial use, like the famous Raphanobrassica which was expected to have root characters of raphanus(carrot) and shoot characters of brassica(cabbage) but resulted in a hybrid which had shoot characters of carrot and root characterized of cabbage, it was a complete faliure as none of the part of raphanobrassica was edible.
