Magnitude Simply means a Number which is associated with any quantity...For example...If age of a person is 20 years old..then we say the the magnitude of a age(Here age is a quantity) of person is 20....See 20 is magnitude here...
Suppose Distance between School and Home is 10 Km...Then here the Magnitude of distance(Here Distance is a quantity) is 10...and Km(Kilometer is the unit of distance)...
Another example we take as the speed of car is 20 m/s...you can easily find out the magnitude of speed here...which is simply 20...
If i give you two forces as f1= 100 Newton and f2= 50 Newton...can you tell me which force have Large magnitude..?
Your answer simply be a force f1 have large magnitude which is nothing just 100...hope this help.....
