Whole numbers are exact numbers like 0, 1, 2, 3, ……. They are a set of positive integers along with 0 and exclude fractions and decimal  numbers. 

A decimal number lies between two whole numbers. For example, the decimal number 2.4 lies between the whole numbers 2 and 3.
