Zoonosis is an infectious disease which can easily be transmitted between humans and animals.

There are a range of disease pathogens like virus, bacteria, fungi and parasites that can cause zoonosis.

Out of 1,415 pathogens which are identified to infect humans, 61% are zoonotic.

Actually, many human diseases originate in animals. But, only diseases which involve routine animal to human transmission, like rabies and ebola virus etc are considered direct zoonosis
